Over a million families worldwide are devastated each year by the death of their baby in the delivery room, NICU or post-NICU.

October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. We take this time to recognize the parents who have experienced loss around the world due to prematurity, stillbirth, miscarriage, SIDS and other complications. Sadly, many times the value of their babies’ lives are rarely acknowledged.

During the entire month, we take time to honor and remember those who have lost a child during pregnancy or lost a child in infancy. We encourage you to reach out to an angel parent and ask how they are doing. Ask about their baby, say their baby’s name. Remember, the greatest way to acknowledge life is to say their name.
