Alex

Deb

After a sudden and severe onset of preeclampsia & HELLP syndrome at 22 weeks and bed rest for a month, Alex was born at 26 weeks weighing 640gms. He was absolutely perfect in every respect but just so incredibly tiny. We had no idea how a little body that small would grow- it was simply incomprehensible to us. Alex had so many challenges in his 320 day stay in NICU. He was intubated for 3.5 months and then on oxygen for a further 6 months. Inbetween his respiratory difficulties he had an emergency Ladds procedure, contracted RSV & a hospital superbug. Through it all Alex’s determination & will to best all odds shone through. Alex is an amazing 3 year old who has a zest for life and lights up any room. We are in awe of all he has achieved and accomplished and are so very proud of him. We love you! 💗
