Author of From Hope to Joy and Stuck in Bed, Jennifer Degl continues to help the preemie community with her latest book, I Was Small But Now Iโ€™m Tall.

This is a book that should be in every preemieโ€™s library. ย I Was Small But Now Iโ€™m Tall helps preemies understand in a very simple way what their beginning looked like and despite the challenges, it shows how far they have come.ย  This is such a relatable book for the many parents of preemies who have traveled the NICU journey and who love reading to their children in the NICU and beyond. This is a book that will give parents hope while in the NICU that their special preemie will grow stronger every day.

The illustrations in this book are bright, colorful and will captivate even the youngest of readers.

This is a nice gift to give a family in the NICU or to parents of an older preemie that may be asking about their birth.

Jennifer Degl is the mother of four, including a micro preemie who was born at 23 weeks gestation, and the founder of Speaking for Moms and Babies, Inc. Her mission is to educate the public on maternal and neonatal health issues. She is the author of two other books and articles in the Journal of Pediatrics and the Journal of Perinatology. Jennifer is a fierce advocate for moms and babies, a passionate public speaker, a member of the International Neonatal Consortium, and she also serves on the Board of Directors for NICU Parent Network and NIDCAP Federation International. Jennifer has been a high school science teacher for 20 years and believes education is the key to healthcare reform. https://jenniferdegl.com/
