The Tri-Cities Diaper Bank is a program of Adventist Community Services and a Washington State non-profit organization. We are staffed entirely by volunteers from the Richland & Kennewick Seventh-day Adventist churches, and we have distribution centers in Richland, Kennewick and Pasco. Formed in January, 2011, we currently partner with 14 local service agencies to provide diapers to needy children throughout our community.
As of June, 2018, the Tri-Cities Diaper Bank has distributed more than 2 MILLION diapers to well over 1,800 of the neediest children living in poverty here in the Tri-Cities area.
To help ensure that disadvantaged families throughout the Tri-Cities have an adequate supply of diapers for their children.
To raise community awareness that diapers are “basic human needs” like food and shelter, and that these needs are not being met for children living in poverty.
To advocate for policy reform so that diapers will be included in the definition of and provision for the “basic human needs” of families.
